Music Scholarship Application

Music Scholarships are available for incoming full-time, first-year and transfer students intending to participate in a Canisius University musical ensemble. The $1,500 award is renewable for four years.

How to Apply:

• Submit the online application below and include all supplemental materials by January 19, 2026.
  • Resume including your high school or college music performance experience (solo or ensemble).
  • Two letters of recommendation from individuals familiar with your music experience.
  • Recorded solo audition.

Recipients of the Scholarship:

• Must maintain a 2.5 GPA or higher.
• Active participation in a Canisius University performance ensemble as determined by the scholarship committee (chorale, chamber orchestra, or jazz ensemble).
• Usher at Arts Canisius events during the academic year (1-2 per year).
• Maintain an active membership in the Canisius Music Scholar club/attend club meetings.
